Ms. Melanie D. Nembhard is a certified industrial hygienist with over 9 years of professional experience in industrial hygiene, exposure assessment and human health risk assessment. She has been involved in researching and evaluating exposures, reconstructing dose and exposure, and assessing risk to workers, consumers, and communities exposed to different chemical hazards, physical hazards, and biological hazards, such as: asbestos, benzene, butadiene, diacetyl, silica, welding, perchloroethylene (PCE), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), various inhalation irritants, dermal irritants, noise, heat stress, and mold. She has participated in baseline exposure assessments and turnaround exposure assessments related to occupational and environmental exposure to various chemical and physical agents, including: particulates, nickel carbonyl, welding fume, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and noise. Ms. Nembhard has helped organizations respond to the COVID-19 pandemic while maintaining operation or re-opening operations by assisting with strategies to minimize the risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection. She is an active member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and participates in various professional committees and task forces.
