    Job Description

    Insight Exposure & Risk Sciences is seeking highly motivated candidates for a number of available full-time positions as a Exposure & Risk Assessment Scientists for early-career consultant. Persons who apply should have a desire and ability to work individually and in teams in a fast-paced environment on diverse and multidisciplinary projects.

    General Responsibilities

    • Literature reviews and research (e.g. scientific and regulatory research)

    • Review and summarization of project documents

    • Technical writing

    • Data entry and analysis

    • Assist with scientific publications and presentations

    • Assist with preparation of client deliverables

    • Occasional field sampling/data collection or project travel

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a focus in one or more of the following disciplines:

    Salary Range & Benefits

    $65,000-$90,000, annually

    Job Description

    Insight Exposure & Risk Sciences is seeking a highly motivated candidate for a full-time position as the Director of Technical Development. Candidates who apply should have a desire and ability to work individually and in teams in a fast-paced environment on diverse and multidisciplinary projects.

    General Responsibilities

    • Develop and lead a program for scientific training and technical development of team members at all levels in a fast-paced consulting environment.

    • Mentor and coach scientists while integrating emerging scientific and regulatory trends into staff development.

    • Provide scientific guidance on complex exposure and/or risk assessment projects being led by Insight Principals and senior team members.

    • Collaborate with project managers and Principals to ensure top scientific quality, efficiency, and clear communication of findings in our deliverables.

    • Serve as a thought leader through internal engagement, such as hosting regular technical seminars, workshops and trainings.

    • Enhance recognition of Insight’s scientific reputation by leading and supporting publications, conference presentations, and active participation in professional networks—both personally and through staff development programs.

    • Assess skill, knowledge, and technology gaps and advise leadership on recruitment, training, and investment in tools.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s or Doctorate degree in one or more of the following disciplines:

      • Risk Assessment

      • Exposure Science

      • Toxicology

      • Industrial Hygiene

    • A minimum of 20 years of exposure assessment and/or risk assessment experience in government, academia, consulting, and/or companies.

    • Proven and demonstrable track record of mentoring, training, and team development in a scientific environment.

    • Established scientific publication and presentation history

    • Track record of technical leadership, including authorship of high-quality reports, publications and other deliverables as well as contributions to professional societies, professional textbooks and/or standards.

    • Well-established analytical and quantitative skills in exposure assessment and/or risk assessment

    • Excellent research and technical writing skills

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Salary Range & Benefits

    $145,000-$195,000, annually based qualifications and experience.

    This is a full-time, exempt position.

    Role Summary:

    We are seeking a highly organized, motivated and detail-oriented Project Administrator to support our project managers and their teams consisting of approximately 30 scientific consultants. The Project Administrator will be responsible for assisting our project execution team and our project accounting team. Successful candidates will be able to effectively multi-task and work seamlessly for multiple project teams in a fast-paced work environment.

    Responsibilties

    • Organize, file, and document the flow of project information and materials, such as client documents and contracts

    • Track and update deadlines in project management system (Wrike)

    • Schedule and coordinate project-related meetings and conference calls

    • Retrieve and organize scientific literature

    • Communicate with clients via e-mail

    • Respond to documentation requests from clients

    • Assist accounting team with monthly invoicing process, including organization of invoices, client invoicing using an e-mail template, and client follow-ups

    • Assist accounting team with expense documentation

    Key Skillsets Required:

    • Detail-oriented: careful with accuracy in project tracking, reporting, and communications and able to accurately work on multiple items per day.

    • ‍Proactive: anticipates project and team member needs, identifies and acts on issues early, and takes initiative to solve problems.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • High school diploma or GED credential

    • 1+ years of experience in a project administration, office administration, or similar role

    • Record of strong organizational and administrative skills

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word

    PREFERRED:

    • ‍Associate or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

    • ‍Experience with BQE CORE accounting and invoicing platform

    • ‍Experience with Wrike project management platform

    Locations

    ‍Insight has one physical office located in Boulder, Colorado. In-person, hybrid, and remote work arrangements will be considered.

    Compensation: $58,000 to $62,000 [salaried, exempt] ‍
