  • Job Description

    Insight Exposure & Risk Sciences is seeking highly motivated candidates for a number of available full-time positions as a Health & Safety Risk Assessment Scientists for early-career consultant. Persons who apply should have a desire and ability to work individually and in teams in a fast-paced environment on diverse and multidisciplinary projects.

    General Responsibilities

    • Literature reviews and research (e.g. scientific and regulatory research)

    • Review and summarization of project documents

    • Technical writing

    • Data entry and analysis

    • Assist with scientific publications and presentations

    • Assist with preparation of client deliverables

    • Occasional field sampling/data collection or project travel

    • Model and promote company values, which focus on professionalism; collaboration; diversity of people, thoughts, and ideas; integrity; and scientific curiosity and innovation

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a focus in one or more of the following disciplines:
      ○ Risk Assessment

      • Exposure Assessment

      • Industrial Hygiene

      • Environmental Sciences

      • Occupational & Environmental Health

      • Toxicology

      • Epidemiology

      • Chemical or Biological

      • Engineering

      • Similar training/experience with a quantitative science or engineering emphasis

    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

    • Excellent research and technical writing skills

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • Ability to quickly learn and synthesize scientific information in a fast-paced work environment

    • Scientific research experience (educational or professional) required

    Locations

    Work opportunities are available in our physical office located in Boulder, Colorado.

    Salary Range & Benefits

    $65,000-$90,000, annually

Persons who apply should have a desire and ability to work individually and in teams in a fast-paced environment on diverse and multidisciplinary projects.

    General Responsibilities

    • Independent and collaborative research (e.g. scientific and regulatory research)

    • Lead or manage projects, including oversight of scope, budget, timeline, staffing, and technical quality. Projects may include:

      • Exposure and risk assessments

      • Literature review and synthesis

      • Field research

      • Peer-reviewed publications and other technical publications

    • Execution of client deliverables

    • Prepare and submit research proposals, project proposals, and/or grant applications

    • Present research at conferences, or other scientific forums, and publish research

    • Occasional field sampling/data collection or project travel

    • Mentor and/or train other staff in areas of professional expertise

    • Model and promote company values, which focus on professionalism; collaboration; diversity of people, thoughts, and ideas; integrity; and scientific curiosity and innovation

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a focus in one or more of the following disciplines:

      • Risk Assessment

      • Exposure Assessment

    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience and/or consulting experience required

    Locations

    Work opportunities are available in our physical office located in Boulder, Colorado. Additionally, remote work opportunities are available in some U.S. locations with a preference for Bay Area, California, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

    Salary Range & Benefits

    $85,000-$185,000, annually
