Mr. Johnson is a Managing Risk Assessment Scientist at Insight Exposure and Risk Sciences, bringing over 20 years of experience across industrial hygiene, workplace exposure assessment, environmental health and safety program development, occupational health, and environmental science.

Mr. Johnson has designed, implemented, and managed global EHS programs for some of the world's most recognized companies — including Apple and 3M — spanning the technology, semiconductor, biomedical, chemical, television and film, and heavy manufacturing industries, both domestically and internationally. His expertise covers the full spectrum of workplace exposure and hazard assessment, with particular depth in noise exposure assessment and control, ventilation system evaluation and design, aerosol science, inhalation dosimetry, Bayesian decision analysis, additive manufacturing, product and consumer exposure assessment, and hearing conservation.

His project portfolio includes EHS program management, auditing, and corporate due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; complex worker and consumer exposure assessments; process safety management; and the design of noise controls and industrial ventilation systems. Mr. Johnson has operated in both corporate and consulting environments, led a private hazardous materials emergency response team, and teaches on EHS topics globally.

Mr. Johnson holds certifications as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He is an active member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists, and serves as a regular guest lecturer at the University of Minnesota. For over 15 years, he has served on the University of Minnesota's Institutional Review Board for Biomedical Research, with a focus on artificial intelligence in research, equitable distribution of risk in medical studies, and the use of wearable technology in human research.
